Default Bumper

I have the 2010 insight EX and today I accidentally hit my bumper while coming up a drive way, does anyone know how much, and where I can get a new official Honda bumper? I went to Honda parts now, and they have what I need but they do not specify what color you need. Does anyone know the reason why? I need part #1 on this website. Thanks!

I highly doubt the new honda bumper would come painted, new parts like that rarely do. You could get a used one on ebay probably for cheap and have it painted to match your car color.

Here are a few....

Bumpers come primed not painted (shipping is VERY expensive) ... also you'll have better luck getting your answers regarding your MY Insight on the other site as this one is for MY 2000 - 2006

It is the work for a body shop

It is actually a bumper cover and is often repaired by a body shop depending on the damage. I think most body shops use remanufactured bumper covers if the damage is severe and they cannot repair it in the shop themselves, but they still have to paint it.

The majority of vendors will sell the bumpers sans the paint. With that said, hondapartsnow.com has the best prices for a replacement bumper that I found thus far.

Good luck with the parts search!

I've put in the request to have your thread moved to the 2nd Gen forum as its currently in the 1st Gen forum. You'll likely get a better/quicker answer there.

Usually many of us in the US source parts from Majestic Honda - The Internet's #1 Honda Automotive Parts Store
Not sure where you are.

Default how bad is it?

If there isn't a crack, you can repair it yourself. My wife backed into my car two weeks after buying it. It left gouges in the plastic but no crack. I took some body filler and slowly filled it then sanded smooth. Once smooth apply a quality adhesion promoter and primer. If needed sand smooth. I used dupont hot hues paint and clear for paint. Apply 2-4 coats of base coat and then clear. You will probably get a run or two. No prob. simply let it dry and come back with wet sand paper (1000 grit or more) and then polish with polishing compound. A quality paint store can also put the primer, paint and clear in a can that will mix the hardner in when needed.

Hope that helps
