Default CR-Z anti-sway bar - does it fit Insight?

I am about to buy an anti-sway bar and am leaning toward the one for the Fit by Progress Tech, but before I buy I wanted to find out if anyone knows whether the anti-sway bar for the CR-Z is a better fit for our Insights than the bar for the Fit. Anyone know? Thanks.

BTW - I called Progress Tech and they did not know if the CR-Z bar would fit an Insight. They said the bend configuration was different than for the Fit bar but didn't now how that different bend configuration would go with the Insight.

Your Insight is based on the FIT frame. Stay with that Configuration.

Both Cobb and myself installed the Progress Tech rear sway bar for the 2009/2010 FIT on our I2s. Also I believe the CR-Z bar is the same thickness (19mm) as the FIT version. Stick with the one for the FIT as we know it works.

Progress offered me a refund minus shipping if the bar did not fit the insight. If both are the same diameter, then there is no advantage to get the crz over the fit.

Since you got to remove the rear springs to install it, you may want to grab a set of lowering springs too to firm up the ride. Ive seen tanabe go for under 200 bucks on ebay.

Thanks for the responses - the Progress Tech Fit bar it is.

BTW - I also spent some research time trying to figure out if there was a reason the Cusco rear bar was worth the extra money, but I couldn't find one. I think it may tuck up behind the stock torsion bar a little nicer, but not $125 nicer (the approximate net difference after accounting for shipping).

I also plan to get the Cusco upper and lower braces for the front end - they seem to be the best front brace option I have found, and at some point switch to 185/60R15 WRG2s - but can't afford everything at once.

I would love the firmer ride of lowered springs, but don't want to give up any ground clearance. Someday I may get something like the Cusco suspension upgrade kit that maintains stock ride height - but not until I get more miles out of the stock setup.
