Default I know I'm over my head

So I just purchased a Pioneer AVH-P2300DVD and I also also purchased the Metra 70-1729 wiring harness. I know on the back of the package on the 70-1729 it shows the wiring color codes but how do I know whic one to attach it to on the Pioneer harness? The Harness on the Pioneer only have three wires labled a blue one (System Remote Control), a Yellow one with a black stripe that is labled (mute), and a Violet one (Reverse Gear Signal Input).

Like I said How do I know how to hook them up. Do I simple match the colors? Is it really that simple?

It it is the case what do I do this the three that I mentioned earlier, system remote control, Mute and Reverse gear signal input?

I've searched and I sorry if it's been answered but I can't seems to find it anywhere.

Thanks in advance

You match the colors. They should have a guide for both color codes.
