Freaking awesome!!!! They worked wonders in rural areas and light fog. The only down side is they took 30 seconds to reach full brightness and while warming up appear greenish.

The reason why I ask is I'm looking for an HID or regular bulb for my hi beams(instead of getting fogs) that will help in rainy/foggy conditions. My 4500 K HID lows work awesome; when the weather is good. However, it's hard for me to see when it's raining and or foggy. I have the same light color for my highs so they don't help much in bad weather either. I'm considering getting those 2500-3000 K Yellow Japanese bulbs for my highs but I'm not sure.

From my personal experience, using high beam in rain/fog doesn't help and bothers oncoming traffic. high beam is just a scatter light that blinds people, doesn't really light up the road more besides signs/reflectors.
I personally would not bother getting HID for your high beams. I would only use HID for fog light and low beam.
As for the Nokya question, it's a hit or miss. I have a pair of high beam/drl in my 06 Civic and it works fine, bought another set for fog and 1 of the bulb was defective. Both "hyper yellow 2500k". Nokya cost about $18-$25 whereas PIAA cost roughly $60-$80.
@Chessie, the closest would be 4500k-5000k for generic HID kit. I would personally buy the XenonDepot Volt or Xtreme series which offers 4300k whereas other companies usually offer 4500k or 5000k (pretty much the same for those 2 if it's a generic). XenonDepot HID kit cost about $100-$250 depending on which kit you get.
