Default Steering wheel thread color

I have the grey interior and recently ordered the leather steering wheel cover. When it arrived, I was surprised that the thread color was a bright blue, a color I think would look just right in the blue interior. When I asked about the thread color, I was told that it is always blue, no matter what the interior color. I have a hard time believing this - it just does not look right to me - though maybe I would like how it looked installed.

Did anyone with the grey interior get a leather steering wheel cover with thread that was not blue?

Thanks.

I have the steering wheel cover and once you install it; you can't notice the thread color. The stiches are somewhat hidden behind the steering wheel. It looks fine.

I will say that, at least for me, it was a PITA to install.(took me over an hour)

or always could get some red thread and make it look like JDM =P lol
I remember reading about those leather wheel thread/stitches on 8thcivic and/or fitfreak where it does come in blue but some people went out and bought red stitching/thread.

Here is a link to a installed steering wheel cover and the JDM shift knob for my insight. As you can see they both have the blue stitching so it looks much better than just the steering wheel alone.

How do i change the shift knob

thanks for the link to the photo - contrary to my expectations, the blue thread on the wheel cover actually looks good with the grey interior, especially with the JDM shifter knob. I hope to get my wheel cover installed the next warm weekend day.

I have the leather steering wheel cover and it has blue thread. I have the grey interior. Personally, I like the blue thread.
