Default In need to tire recommendations

I am in need of tire recommendations for my 2011 Insight EX, I hope this is the right place to put this question.

I currently have over 68,000 miles on my car and had Pirell tires put on last January at 28,000+ miles. I have a strong dislike for these tires as they have never felt balanced and dropped my MPG from 46 or 42.

I drive a little but of everything, interstate, back roads, curvy roads, dirt roads/driveways, hills, through a small river/large stream, and some city. About the only terrain I don't drive is flat, heavy city traffic, and off roading.

I'm looking for a tire that will last until next March or April, January and February are not good times for us to buy new tires, and get my MPGs back to where they should be. A smoother ride would be awesome too as I'm tired to feeling like I'm driving over rocks instead of a road that was just paved.

Thanks

Have you done a search? There are many extensive discussions about tires on this forum.

Yes, I did. Several of the threads seemed older, so I didn't know if there was any change. I'll be getting Bridgestones this weekend, which is what I had planed on get last year, but my husband decided the Pirells would be better instead of waiting a couple of extra days.

There are quite a few that are liked, however all can agree that the dunlops arent that great. I am sold on yokohoma and have purchased their tires online for my past 3 vehicles and have a second set on my insight in oem size. Previously I got the typical brands you see at most tire stores sells and even with the hassle of taking them to a shop to get mounted and balanced it was worth it in savings. I paid like 82 bucks each for my avids. Then 25 for mounting balancing and disposal at a shop, but they waved the fee for some work in trade.
