Default Tires

My Insight needs some new tires, I was reading the fourm this summer and saw the tire comparison thread, I now seemed to have lost it.

1. What Tires should I get (best for mpg)

2. I also need a set of snow tires for the winter. What should I get? Anything?

I cannot wait till there is 2 feet of snow on the ground, and I get to drive through it.

The Bridgestone RE92 OEM's are the ultimate MPG tire. AFAI remember Armin imported some (1 set for himself) european LRR's that are compairable.

"I cannot wait till there is 2 feet of snow on the ground, and I get to drive through it."

You won't, believe me. Anything more than 6-8 inches and (unless it's very light powder) you're stuck. Side effect of the low ground clearance.

I am speaking figuratively.....

Even a truck can hardly drive in that without haveing problems, plus if it snows 2 feet, why would I leave home.

Whats out there that I need in 2 feet of snow.

I'll tunnel there.

6-8" of snow and my Insight ain't goin nowhere! I'm lucky to get through 3-4" on the OEM RE92's. I haven't tried snow tires as I'll use my 4runner in anything more than 3-4" Insight is just too light with too little ground clearance.
