Default Removing the instrument panel

I'm attempting to implement Alex's idea for my M!M@ display so I need to remove the instrument panel.

Does anyone know how to remove the instrument panel without removing the air-bag?

I think the steering column has to be dropped, which means the airbag has to come out.

no no no Just lower the steering, undo the bolts holding the column to the frame of the dash, it will lower enough for the panel to come out.
