Default Knight Rider effect

Can anyone tell me how to build an x-box green colored Knight Rider scanner and hook it to my Rostra Cruise control to make it variable. All the kits I've found are made strictly for the firebird and are not variable (or green) It is illegal to have red or blue lights in Florida. Thanks!

Err... Could you translate that into standard English, please?

$5 pic microcontroller and some leds of your choice. How many leds do you want?
What will vary when you hook it to the cruise control?
Where on the cruise control do you want to connect it?

It can be done with a 555 timer, and some decade up down counters, but that is more work.

Aaron
Nice. I believe that 2 or more counters can be cascaded for more leds.

Default speed and specs

It'd be nice to have 10 LEDs and have them scan slowly at rest and get faster, but not rediculous, as the car goes faster.

Any idea how to connect the speed resistor to a Rostra Cruise?

Easiest way would be to physically connect the pot directly to the cruise servo. There aremore elegant electronic ways bnt they get much more complicated.
