Default Amplifier ground cable + aftermarket stereo reduced MPG

Hi all,
just wondering where anyone who has installed a stereo amp has hooked the ground cable. I hooked mine to the seat bolt.
I am also wondering about peoples MPG after the install of a stereo and amp. i am not sure if it is coincidence, but it seems that after i added a headunit and a 4x50 amp that my performance has decreased.
power to the amp is being run directly from the 12v battery.
i have checked my stock ground cables in the engine compartment and they "look" OK.

Mine is grounded to the seat bolt too. I haven't noticed any drop in MPG.

It would depend on the amps current draw.
How many amps does the amp draw?
Any continous current has to be supplied by the IMA system, via the DC/DC converter, and could load the engine which would replace that draw from the IMA motor generator. Thats why one can see a MPG hit when driving at night with the heater blower on.
