Engine Code Reader

I would like to mount a code reader inside my 2006 to monitor the engine and other functions in real time (while I'm driving). I have seen code readers priced from $69.00 to $199.00

My question: Is there a prefered code reader (make and model), or would a $69.00 reader do the same as a $199.00 reader?

If you want something real good get a Innovate LC1 Lambda reader at http://www.summitracing.com
The o2 sensor goes into your exhaust pipes somewhere in the line and gives you a constant airfuel ratio on the meter display.
