Default How about this for extra thrust?

You won't believe what you see there. Borderline insane... but sure fun to look at!

Mount it underneath (so the tank doesn't explode on you with a small leak) and put the exhaust thru the bumpers. Someone call this guy and see if wants to sell his unit. Poor guy got that car taken away from him when GM asked for the EV's back. I wonder if a few people didn't try to hide theirs with a "It got stolen!" story when the REPO man came for it.

I read about that before.... he said the jet could push the car along by itself at highway speeds....

The only way this would be a clean way to travel would be a clean fuel

I don't see how you could make it safe.... burning the front end of a car too close behind you and fuel containment .... I don't think you could ever get it to pass an inspection.

Oh by the way... you can buy jet engines like this for the bigger remote control jets that people fly...

for instance... here are some that go up to 35Lbs of thrust from a 3.34 LB Engine.... also runs on jet fuel or kerosene.

The one in the first post I think was 85Lbs of thurst for the EV-1.

Heh, I suppose it would work. I heard a rumor that once GM got wind of what that leasee did with their vehicle he recieved several cease and desist letters from GM. At least you wouldn't have any problems as you own your Insight, but there might be some issues with melted bumpers from anyone who decides to tail gate you.

Definately a no smoking car... That's the second one of these that had the tanks inside the car... which is the easiest way to blow yourself up... unless you keep the windows/trunk open all the time.
