Reversing camera?

Did a quick search which didn't turn up anything so...

I know visibility is pretty good out the back but I'm still paranoid about hitting something when I reverse, and as my new head unit has a video in I thought I'd add a reversing camera. How best can I access the brake lights in order to attach it (12V power), and where should I route the video cable through in order to send it up from to the head unit?

Could it be mounted inside and look out through the back window?

That is an idea, but arguably I'm mounted inside and could look out the rear window! Was hoping for a lower angle view you see...
