Default Rims and Snow Tires for Insight

I like to buy my snow tires during the summer to beat the rush. I think I will be going with the 185-60-14 size, as there are plenty of choices available in this range, and the speedometer error will only be 1.3%.

I know the Civic rims will fit the Insight, but is there any particular year I should be looking for? TireRack has the 14" steel wheel to fit the 2002 Civic, but I am concerned about offset and rubbing the rear skirt.

Narrower winter tires are much better in the snow.
Just look at photos of Rally cars competing in winter events at proof!

I recommend getting OEM size winter tire (which will be my next set) 165/65R14
Maximum size that would fit well for a winter tire would be 175/65R14
Many people use 155/80R13 or 175/70R13 with great results in the worst of conditions.
