Default Insight tools/equipment repository and lending group

I have accumulated a fair bit of specialised electronic equipment now which is useful for Insight repairs etc. It also occured to me that other members must have other bit's and bobs including special Insight tools like the IMA rotor puller and manuals they may be prepared to lend to other IC members.

I suggest we start a list of such equipment on the site with details.

I am willing to make available in the UK for reasonable loan periods the following equipment/manuals at no charge.

The items must be collected and returned in person by the borrower, no post, sorry my items are too heavy

(A cash deposit will be reqd to ensure prompt and safe return! Any loss breakage etc is down to the borrower!)

I offer the following.

1) 0-300v 0-3.5A CC & CV adjustable power supply for pack balancing.

2) Robitronic overloader 0-10A charge and 0-20A discharge Nimh IMA subpack charger/discharger and cycler.

3) Insight Workshop Manual 2000-2005 Models

4) Insight Electrical Manual 2000-2005 Models.

5) Scangauge II ODBII code reader

Anyone offer anything else? The IC spirit to help others I'm sure will see more offers, and hopefully a comprehensive array of equipment can be built up worldwide.

I am in Providence RI

I don't many tools / equipment different from what was already posted. I am in a different location though.

Not much in the way of equipment , I have a :
Shop Service Manual
Shop Electrical Manual
Body Repair Manual
Honda Battery care Video ( Lead Acid only
Honda Technician intro video to the Honda Insight.
the rest is common multi-meter and wrench sets type of stuff.

I am working on a few projects that might be useful to other insight owners / tinckerers someday when they are done and ready and such. They are not ready yet so I won't list them yet.

I am happy to assist when my schedule permits... which isn't often... but you could get lucky.

Hi Peter, sounds like a nice idea, but in my opinion it would be difficult to keep under control.
My Sat workshops are open to all, with a pit in the garage for oil changing and other under car work, as well as a full machine shop, sheet metal fab equipment, TIG,MIG, gas welding, plasma cutting, lots of electronic components and test equipment.
I use this equipment for my consulting and prototype work, so I can't lend it, but it is available for Hybrid work at the workshop.
