Default Braille batteries... ???

Just found a link to Braille batteries, apparently a brand of high-performance, lightweight auto batteries. I'm not in the market right now for the Insight, but it sounds intriguing for future reference, or perhaps for some of my other rides...

Anyone have any knowledge of, or experience with, these?

The Odyssey PC545 dry cell is another good choice and is cheaper than the Braille battery. I installed the Odyssey PC545 about 6 months ago and have not had any problems. The previous battery was a non OEM battery installed by a previous owner that weighed 25 lbs. The PC545 weighs in at just 12 lbs. An instant weight savings of 13 lbs.

I've linked some pictures showing the difference.

Thanks! I've got the Odyssey in my Insight right now, so I'm very aware of them... as a matter of fact, I heard about them here on IC. I've just never heard of the Braille, but it sounds intriguing... and offers another choice for others.

Braille batteries? Does that mean they can be installed by visually impaired drivers? Sorry, but I couldn't resist.

I've had my PC545 for 2-1/2 yrs now, and the only problem I've had was when I had surgery and was not allowed to drive for over a month, the battery got too low to start it without a jump.
