My car a 2000 has been parked in a heated garage for eight months now and I am not anticipating any problems.I do expect a recal upon starting as I did three months ago. This same car was stored two years ago for six months with no ill effects and regularly returns aroung 83 mpg (Imperial) average per tank.
I might add I am still on the original 144 volt pack and original 12 volt battery as well.
The car will be eight years old in three months and has never given any problems other than having the ERG valve cleaned.

Further to the above comments.....Today I started the Insight, first time in four months and it started within three turns on the 12 volt starter and as expected did a recal.
I ran about 3K revs till it came back to 9 bars and then took a short drive.Everything appears normal so will ready it for use again,it felt good
Its been off the road for 9 months while I used my Citroen 2CV last summer which had been unused for ten years!

A sticker on the Hybrid Civic Battery pack indicates that the car should be started every 30 days to prevent damage. the civic has virtually the same pack as the Insight?

The pack can have a rather high self discharge which can unbalance the pack, since it is not uniform from subpack to subpack.
