yes you got the last one.
MIMA system ordering is closed.
I have many more controller display and joystick boards, and I will have extra plug and play boards, so once we get these 25 systems out the door, I will evaluate how to turn the remaining parts into a few more systems, but will not explore that until the present systems are shipped, so don't send me any further deposits or orders, as I cannot be sure how many will be possible.
MIMA is waiting for the fan and current sensor connectors from Honda, (shipped from Majestic Honda today) as well as for me to build the temperature probes. Once that is done, we will do the final test and packing, and the first 13 systems will be ready to fly.
The rest of the plug and play boards will need to be populated and tested, and will be ready in another week or so.
The MIMA systems are all fully built, and we are doing the final test and packing.
Shipped one yesterday, and with the holiday tomorrow, the Post office will be closed so may have a good pile to ship on Tuesday.
One of the FAS boards had a bad relay. The 4PDT relays used on the FAS board have become obsolete. I got some from Futurlec in Australia, which gave me exactly the quantity I needed for the orders, and they back ordered 32 more. I asked Futurlec about the back orders, and hope to hear from them next week.
That could hold up the last system.
After doing a pretty thorough search, it looks like all remaining stock has been grabbed by obsolete parts vendors, and they are asking $50 each and want to sell them by the 100's instead of the $4-$6 the relays were selling for when they were good stock.
So here we go again, Got a bunch of FAS boards that I cant get relay's for.
Hopefully I will not find any more bad relays, and the back order will actually happen.
I can probably take two DPDT relays and make a replacement for the last FAS if there is no alternative.
Why is it never easy.
Found some of the FAS relays, so except for the wait for them to arrive, we are good on the FAS front on the current build of MIMA systems.
I managed to order 32 relays, so that will let me build 16 more of the FAS boards.
******************************* NOTICE mima # 187 IS AVAILABLE****************************************
One of the people that ordered one of the 25 plug and play MIMA systems has lost their job, so they asked for a refund of their deposit, which I did today.
So that gives one last chance for someone to get MIMA # 187.
urgh, just got my tax return money back... and it's pay day thursday... must resist temptation!!!
edit: Sorry to hear about the job loss. hopefully they can bounce back soon.
What options did he have to give up? fas, 2 joysticks?
Tim

I have added my e-mail to the top of my signature, so if people want to contact me that can do it directly. My record keeping depends on direct e-mail, and a PM sent to me via IC, will not get immediate attention, or allow me to save the communication in my e-mail records.
Please direct e-mail and communication to me directly, Thanks.
