Peter, I guess I'm kind of slow. Just saw from some other threads this is essentially what the pp50 board does. I couldn't find anything on whether you're selling these and if so for how much. However, sounds like the total cost would still be a bit above what I can do right now but good to know the option exists. I'm always impressed by the quality of work done by you, mike and the other gurus.

I have to admit having a trunk full of lithium makes you worry at times that your bms cuts off your charger as well as your load before its too late. I disconnected and removed my engine phev kit and its such a relief to not have to worry about anything going up in smoke or running out to unplug the charger when its done as a precaution.

In that respect, lead acid isnt all that bad. I can rejuvinate any dead lead acid battery in 4-8 hours. If its too far gone I just return it for a pro rated refund or full replacement. Try that with a123 cells.

AFAIK ... selling as in ... helping to organize people ... putting the fruits of his hard work out their for people to know how to do it ... etc ... yes ... but AFAIK no one is currently acting as the factory to have everything built and assembled so a customer can buy a drop in replacement / product... it is still very much in the DIY build the pieces from plans and put it together yourself kind of project.
