Default Anyone with extra CVT for my 03?

Hi,
Has anyone ever cracked one of these open themselves?
I was thinking about before I just replace it with a used one. I hear there are steel bands unlike traditional AT's.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

Default Re: Bad CVT in my 2003

What has gone bad in the CVT to begin with?....What are the symptoms of the problem(s)?....You may want to get a second opinion as to if it can be repaired before ripping into it yourself.

Hi,
When placing shifter into drive or reverse there is a noisy, grinding loose parts sound.
