Default EGR cleaning Test ?

I removed the EGR for cleaning. I have put carb cleaner and PB Blaster in it to loosen up anything that is in there. BUT I dont see how to "test" it to see if what I am doing id of any benefit...short of putting it back on the car and driving it. Is there something that I could push on to see if it moves, or can I put the plug back on it and see something move by turning thr kry on without actually starting the engine?

Default Re: EGR cleaning Test ?

I used a 15 volt power brick to cycle the solenoid. Off hand I don't remember which pins, though they were both on the same side of the plug. I also ran some acetone through the two holes on the engine side, it ran better after, so it must have worked.
