I have a Rosta cruise control installed on my 2000 MT and the best I can tell it works by it adjusting the throttle based on the VSS to maintain a set speed. Could I take the wire that is tapped into the VSS wire and instead tap it into the TPS wire and use it to hold the throttle at a set position? This would be like the aircraft throttle some have installed only with the safety of auto disengage with use of the clutch or brakes. If this is possible a switch could set between the crusie controller and the box (ECM?) for switching from use as a cruise control to a throttle control and back.
I started to just try it myself but as I pulled the carpet back a rare wave of good sense came over me and I figured I better ask someone who knows about the voltages and such.
What do you think, will it work?
I would never have been able to do the cruise control if it wasn't for Hudson's excellent example (with lots of pictures

) located in the Owners section. InsightCentral is great!
