There are 6 torx head screws in the battery cover and they are in TIGHT. I have the correct torx head screwdriver but I cannot budge them. I have tried a channel lock plier on the handle and they still wont budge. I dont want to put too much pressure on them because I dont want to break something...also its an awkward position to lean over the bumper and reach them. Any reason I dont know about??

I don't think they are that way for any particular reason. At least, I don't recall that mine were particularly tight, but I used a socket in a 3/8 ratchet wrench, rather than a screwdriver-type driver, to break them loose, then a cordless drill to remove & replace.
I got one out "dry" but have sprayed PB Blaster on the other 5 to see if that will loosen them. They are not even shown on the drawing in the Honda manual!

I have now gotten 4 of them out but there are two that are still resisting to the point that my T- 30 bit actually broke off. I am now going to try to use a file to flatten the sides of the remaining two and remove them with a vice grip. When I go back, they will all be hex head bolts!!!

I have opened 20 or more insights IMA boxes, and have found 2-3 where the torque screws had that issue. I took a dremel tool and flattened two sides, and while turning with the torque driver, I helped with some vice grips that were securely clamped to the flats.
There must have been a retired sumo wrestler in the Insight plant.
Well, it will no longer be a problem because I replaced them all with hex head screws of the same dimensions. I guess they used the 6 torx head screws to discourage people from opening the box.
