Default parallel install second battery pack

Hi Guys,
Need to get some more battery capacity into the rally car.I believe a second standard Insight or Civic pack has been fitted in parallel by some members of the community and i would be grateful for any links to information on doing this.
Will post our progress on this and our motorsport activities in 2009.

I also put the PTC strips of the second pack in series with the first as a thermal safety along with a potentiometer. The system is set to trip at ~130 F. The Pot controls this trigger point, but as worst case it will trip at a lower temp than stock. I also connected two of the battery temp probes to the civic pack. Theoretically this could be done with as many packs as you want. I have considered building a tri parallel pack built from Prius subpacks as they would take up less room.

Not at all, just keep in mind this probably the simplest approach while maintaining stock safeties.
