Default advice on wet okole insert color

Just got a 2002 monte carlo blue insight and want to preserve the barely worn seats. My head hurts from searching dozens of old threads with many mentions of the wet okoles I want to get. I think I want either light grey or charcoal. I should get samples but would value the opinion of those who've purchased them, and perhaps pictures. Have an armrestking coming which should look nice with okole sides I think. Thank you very much.

I have red inserts on the Wet Okoles in my red Insight. The reds match fairly well and the seats look great.

Consider avoiding lighter colored inserts because they will show dirt and spills (have to be careful even with the red ones). I have cream-colored inserts on the Wet Okole covers in my Subaru and they need cleaning, which will have to wait for warmer weather. I have the cleaners Wet Okole sells but have not had a chance to use them yet.

Navy might look smart in your car. Probably best to order swatches.

Like you I have a Monte Carlo Blue (2001) classic Insight with Wet Okoles,
which I got about 5 years ago, for exactly the same reason you want to.

They still look as good as the day I got them. Worth every penny.
Have always cleaned spills with distilled water only. Works every time.
Never leaves a mark.

Mine have Blue centers of course.
I ordered swatches and picked one (royal or navy, can't remember)
but it's obvious which one very closely matched Monte Carlo Blue.
Do order swatches to be sure.

I also had them duplicate the Insight logo
(exactly as it appears on your rear hatch glass)
onto the fronts of the seatcovers
which they did absolutely perfectly,
in white with the little red
triangle dotting the i in insight.
Everyone who's seen them swears they're factory.

If you wish, I can send you a photo.

Default Wet Okole Seatcovers for MonteCarlo Blue Insight

Here's a picture of my Wet Okole covers installed...
(picture's color balance is a bit off due to makeshift lighting)
(in particular, the red i triangle

I love the monte carlo blue and am considering blue inserts. I'll probably go conservative though trying to match rest of interior. I ordered swatches, shows you how misleading website colors may be as I picked the cobalt to look at, along with light grey and charcoal. I wish they'd let you see four swatches as I think you must have Royal(at least by looking at the website colors, navy doesn't look right). Your's is the first I've heard of with an Insight logo, I'd like to see pictures and I'm sure others would too. Could you post them online and provide a link here? What'd they charge you for the custom logo? Thank you

edit: that was quick!

I don't honestly remember what, or even if,
Wet Okole charged for the logo,
(it's been quite a while)
but I do remember them understanding instantly what I had in mind,
and as I said, they nailed it perfectly.
It was the first time they did it, I'm sure not the last...

I understand if you want to go "conservative".
In my case, the whole car's theme was "Blue",
and so many accessories, where tasteful, are such.
(right down to blue aluminum valve stem caps...
easily the cheapest accessory
8 yrs later, the car is still in essentially mint condition with 38K mi
and is being treated as a collector item.

Of the five colors U.S. Insights were ever made in,
Monte Carlo Blue was the second-rarest,
after space-alien-green.
("Citrus Yellow" officially, which was unique to 2000.)
IMHO of course, M.C.Blue looks the best

Incidentally, another hidden reason to go with the W.O. neoprene covers
is that it solves the really nasty issue of what happens to the original
seat fabric if you accidentally sit in it with even the tiniest piece
of Velcro coming in contact with it.

It's not a pretty sight.

(warning: if you must try it, even once, do so on a tiny hidden area. really.)

My '91 Pathfinder is Riviera Blue Pearl. I think it's fitting that the Monte Carlo Blue Pearl stays with the Riviera theme.
Someone posted this picture some time back, can anyone identify the color? Thanks

I have the Wet Okale covers with the light gray inserts in my silver 2000 Insight. IMHO the light gray color is perfect (and I'm very picky). The charcoal color is attractive, but too dark for my taste.

I also have the armrest by Armrest King and it looks great next to the Okale covers.

If I had a blue Insight, I'd probably go with matching blue color inserts.

Well then you'd probably dislike the change I made to my salvage-title 2001.
