Default Cruise Problems and Solutions

Last night I drove about 250 miles. My car is equipped with the Rostra Cruise and MIMA and for most trips, both PIMA and the cruise get along quite well. However, last night as I had the cruise set at about 45mph and PIMA set to accel at about 75mpg I would get a very frustrating result: When the cruise took over, it would basically floor the gas (30-35TPS according to my scanguage) causing an instant full 4 bars of accel on the MIMA display. My mph would jump to 50mph super quickly then the cruise would let off the gas completely (to 9TPS) causing a full regen and the mph would drop to 40. Then the process would repeat over and over... not very comfortable driving.

I pulled out my Rostra manual and pulled over. I unmounted my cruise unit and set the switches to increase the sensitivity to as high as possible thinking if it would be able to react more quickly, the problem would disappear. The result was actually quite worse. TPS was up to 40 and down to 9. (9 is completely off the gas in my car)

I pulled over a second time, this time setting the sensitivity to extra low. I have to say I'm much more pleased with the results. It seems as if the cruise unit is acting much better because it is pulling the cable slower or acting even more sensitively with the amount of throttle being used.

The thought popped in my head that maybe I should set the rostra unit to a 6cyl... anyone tried this?
