Hi,

The original beeep! of my my insight 2k is really annoying to me. So I got a electric truck horn that is very small but I haven't install it because I cant find where is the original that is on the car.

Can anybody give me some info, tips, thoughts?
Pics?

Here's a thread with some good info: Freeway Blaster 132 decibel Low tone Horn Mod . I added a low tone horn to my car last weekend using the same method. I ended up mounting it the same place as this guy: Dennis Judd's Blog: thanks for nothing lowes

I mounted a pair of Air Horns ($9.99 at Harbor Freight) in my car. I just tapped into the original horn wire, on the right side of the radiator at the top, to power a relay that in turn poweres the compressor. Power came from the two big 12V terminals in the fuse box. Now when I hit the horn, they move, even if they cant see me !!!

Pictures are at Picasa Web Albums - Jim in the Honda Insight album.

Default horn swap

On my gen 1 Insight, I spliced in a Honda Pilot horn. Makes a huge difference. The original horn was located behind the bumper. The new one is up front behind the front grill without anything in front of the horn to obstruct the sound.
