Default Burgler Alarm Modification?

I just figured out how the "panic" button on my key chain fob works. For a year now I thought it didnt work because when I pressed it nothing happened. Yesterday the fob was in my pocket with a pocket knife and suddenly from the driveway came the honking of a horn. I figured it was an inconsiderate visitor. On stepping outside I found MY car emitting the offensive noise!! I pulled my fob out and hit the "Lock" button and everything calmed down. I now know that to get the alarm signal I have to hold down the "panic" button for 2 seconds. Apparently my pocket knife got against the button and set off the alarm.

Now I want to know if there is an access point to the signal in the car that could be used to be triggered by an anti theft circuit that would turn on the horn and disable the ignition at the same time. I can design the circuit but I dont know where to pick up that signal that is needed to fire the horn off.

Anyone know???

isnt the starting disabled anyway because the Coded key isnt inserted?

Try this, sit in the car and press the PANIC button, does the car start with the key while the car is making noise ?

DO you have the proper alarm or just the standard panic option?, if you just have the standard no alarm, then the panic noise wont come even if someone tries to open your door, or break your glass.

Wouldnt prying open a locked door or breaking some glass be the only way to test this??? # I suspect I only have the panic option.

I have tested on another car with a proper alarm, that if you sit inside the car, press the lock button to lock the doors and activate the alarm. If you manual open the door lock with your hands and open the door, the alarm will go off.

But with only the panic feature, I can lock the door with the remote, reach in from the window unlock the door manually and get in without any alarms.

But the car does come stock with the anti-theft key, which is coded so even if a thief got in the car, it would be hard to hotwire it because ignition and fuel is disable without the coded key inserted. But then again a thief could just push the car since its so light
