Default Disable Auto function of driver side window

Hello,
Does anyone know if it is possible to defeat the "Auto" function on the drivers side power window? I would prefer if it didn't go all the way down with just a touch of the button.

Thanks,
-Mike

Don't push the button all the way down. There is a slight "middle" detent that you're overriding with your heavy touch.

Just press lightly until you start the window going down, and hold it there/release it at the desired window position. This is not easily accomplished if the car is bucking about on a rough road...

Slightly-related rant and possble thread hijack: My Autodown doesn't work at all now. [Underbreath cursing]. Yes, I know how to reset it. I've reset it, repeatedly, and no joy. Hey! Trade you switches!

I wonder if it is the switch... I just checked the owners manual and I see it says to push the button down "firmly" to start the auto down. Is the auto mechanism in the switch?

Mine just takes the slightest touch of the switch to start the window on its way down. Nothing heavy handed at all, you barely need to touch the switch. Sometimes it feel like just looking at the switch will send the window down. I often start it down when I accidentally touch it when I reach to open the other window.

Thanks,
-Mike
