Headlight suggestions:

I had a left side headlight failure on the low beam just a month or so ago. This was just a year after replacing both headlights. Today I had the right one go out on low beam.

After removing it I realized that this and the one that failed last month were both purchased as a pair on EBay and came from China. They were blue tinted and 90/100 watts. They were essentially illegal at that wattage but I never bothered to look that closely at them. I had purchased them when the original left bulb had failed at 8 years lifetime. And I had replaced them as a pair.

BUT...the important thing was that BOTH had a one year lifetime...too short....way too short....and they came from an unknown source in China.

I now have lower wattage Wagner replacements in there and I expect them to last a bit longer.

My suggestion is that you dont buy your headlights on EBay as the perceived savings doesnt pan out when they only last a year!!

Silver Star Ultras are your best bet. Those chineese bluish bulbs just do not last.

Now if you want illegal and bright, go HID with 50 watt ballasts.
