Default Lights on force regen...

I've searched till blue in the face without finding any information on this subject which I know I've seen mentioned on here. After installing the TPS mod I noticed the SOC was not replenished as reliably as before. I remembered reading about leaving lights on and sure enough it keeps the battery charged better than with off.
I've two questions actually, first why background charge is reduced with the TPS mod, and second, why the lights on works to keep the SOC up?
TIA

I can think of no reason why the TPS mod would affect the charging of the battery at all.

The reason lights on charges the battery is that the charge is increased to prevent the drain of the lights from pulling down the battery.

To be clear I'm referring to the SOC of the HV battery. The TPS mod certainly induces a delay in braking regen and I've noticed there is apparently less background regen because the SOC isn't restored like it was before. I assume the tps signal dampening explains the delay in braking regen but is it also keeping the background regen from happening?
I figured the lights on led to charging the 12V with an increase in SOC of the HV as a result since the DC-DC is what charges the 12V.
Does anyone with the mod see this behavior?

My TPS mod did NOT exhibit this behavior that you mention.

Also, I do not see a delay in the regen. Are you sure you have the right component values?
