Default outside temp sensor

What does Relocating the outside temp sensor to mid engine do?
What and where is it relocated to?

Relocation is from its original location to some point that is relatively warmer (from engine heat). But not too hot or you'll damage the sensor.

For one thing Auto Stop is disabled in lower ambient temps. This is for heater function purposes AND to prevent the ICE from getting too cold and falling back into cold enrichment (Read, lower MPG mode necessary for warm-up).

Depending on the _many_ particulars of _your_ individual driving circumstances it could improve the city drive cycle MPG's with little or no consequence in colder weather. No effect for highway MPG.

IMO the potential for savings is _small_ with an equal potential for MPG loss.
