This is probably the wrong forum for this question but searching the forums didn't turn up a good place for it.
I am going NUTS with that feature of these forums that causes popups when my cursor strays across a highlighted word in a post. I tend to use the cursor to pace my reading and keep the place and every time one of those popups appears I cuss.
Is there a way to disable that feature? My browser has pop ups disabled but that doesnt seem to work on these.

I think the "premium" level memberships have less advertising..

These are NOT advertisements, they are definitions that I could do without......especially the tenth time I see the same one!!!! They shouldnt be connected to your status.
I get them with IE and also with Firefox. Doesnt seem to matter, but then again, it must be associated with this forum since these are words that must be in a list somewhere that are "keywords" related to the Honda Insight and Hybrids in general, Like mileage...which you will now see highlighted since I just used it.
Well, maybe not since it isnt highlighted in the "preview"....maybe it will be in the post. OR, maybe these highlights are activated by the poster????
Wasnt in the actual post either...NOW I am really confused!!!

Honda ... I highlited in green above was the only word in that post that I got the link I think you are referring to.
I run FireFox 3.5.6 in Xp.
I do not get any of these when I enable AdBlock Plus ( I run Version 1.1.2 ) which is a 3rd party ad blocking program I installed into FireFox... I tend to start off with AdBlock Plus disabled ... and then I turn it on when the ads and such slow down the page to a crawl.
Those who didn't get this by other means might be blocking it in some part of their settings profile.
I will be getting some add blocker software as these are very frustrating and any advertiser that thinks he is gaining good will by using them is NUTS. They are so un-pleasant that I will never buy anything from any company that uses them. Though I will probably never know who they are as I NEVER take the time to read them.....Advertisers, are you listening? Its wasted money on your part and may even be counter productive in my case!!!!
