Default Wanted - Body/frame measurements

I have a 00 Insight hit in the front and require the body/frame chart for it. Is it included in the dealer manual with measurements? Would be very grateful if someone could scan or take a picture of it and email to me so I can be sure it is repaired properly and keep it on the road. Appreciate it!

Take care
Shawn

It is a special manual called the body manual. It has detailed frame reference point information, as well as aluminum welding instructions.
I will dig mine out and see if I can make you a photo of key pages.

I really appreciate that, I can send you some money via paypal for your troubles if you wish. This forum has already answered a ton of my questions without even asking, although this particular question I could not find in the archives, so thanks for the reply and for going out of your way.

Take care
Shawn

Or you could order one from Helm. Helm seems pretty responsive about shipping its manuals.

Thanks very much Mike, I also sent an email to you before checking this thread. I went to your site (have not visited before) and am more distracted now at the modification info, there goes my Sunday!!

Take care

Mike, can you post the roof frame?

I want to put a sunroof, but before doing so I want to see if there is anything other than sheet metal there.

Thanks

Lots of photos would be required, and I don't have time to copy and post them (another 4" of snow last night) It looks like the roof is framed with structural members over the windshield and side doors, and one across the back.
The roof panel is stamped aluminum, and it is all tig welded together and looks to only have supports on the 4 sides, with the middle supported by the curved stamped shape of the panel.
I think someone else had posted about installing a sunroof in an insight, so a search of the archives may turn up that thread.
I will snap some photos of the manual later on, but they really do not show that much about the roof panel as it is a complete component.
Good luck.

Your discription gave me enough detail. I just saw a cut away in the encyclopedia, under aluminum construction. It verified what you just said. Thank You.
