Default CB / Ham Radio and RF Interference

Hi, Guys,

Am contemplating installing a 10m/6m dual band transceiver in my 01 CVT, and was wondering if anyone has had any success in dealing with the huge amounts of RF noise that these cars put out.

Ive experimented with a CB radio, and despite wiring it directly to the 12V battery, it is basically unusable on reception with the ignition switch turned on.

Thanks, and kindest regards,

Thumbs down

I was considering a 40/80 meter rig in my car but gave up when I found there was so much interference that it rebooted the computer that was running off the 12V buss.
