Default Strange change while fueling

I have a 2006 CTV which now has 170,000 miles on it. I drive the same route each day 5 days a week. 108 miles each way each day for a total of 216 miles. Up until recently I was able to do three round trips no problem between re fuels. (two bars above the red the mileage still the same). I always was able to coax in an additional 1.3 gal after the pump auto shutdown, for a total 10.5 gallons. For the last month I have been unable to add the extra fuel and as a result don't feel comfy on the last leg (now gets into the red). something has changed in the EVAP system (valve stuck or something)preventing the "over fueling" I was enjoying Looking at the manual the 06 CTV EVAP system is changed from the earlier models so there may not be any experience with this out there except on 06 models but I figured I would post anyway.

I've read here and there that a complete topping-off of the filler neck can suck raw fuel (not vapor, but fuel) into the EVAP system's charcoal canister that's supposed to separate the fuel out of tank fuel vapor for later suction into the engine, with that raw fuel damaging the effectiveness (soaking?) the charcoal canister.

More details and a solution would be better known by others than myself.

Since this is no EVAP related DTC and it gets 4 hr of purge time each day I don't think that is the problem but, who knows.
