I'd like to see how you've installed the custom buttons and switches that a modified Insight needs.
Below is what I've installed. I think I will need to increase the number of toggle switches I have from two to at least five. I'm not sure how I can mount five toggle switches while having it look better than what I currently have. I'm thinking the switches will need to be threaded through a clean scrap of aluminium, which will in turn be screwed to the dash, below the power window controls.
This dual toggle switch came with a set of fog lights for someone else's car. It can be wedged neatly enough into one of the blanks below the power window controls. That's a CARD toggle and a DC/DC converter toggle. I wish the switches were up/down so I'd know which way was off.
That's my FAS button. It's nice and tightly mounted, and the wires disappear soon enough. I used a zip-tie and a scrap of toolbox liner to hold it on. I should have cut a larger piece of toolbox liner to go the entire way around the knob.
This counts, too. I turn the grid charger on by plugging an orange extension cord in there, and turn it off by unplugging.
If there's already a thread like this, you should link it and/or bump it.
