Question 01 Fuel injector specs

I am just wondering if any one can tell me the flow rate of the manual transmission fuel injectors?

I have them at napa for cleaning right now but the info is not in their book. honda dealer doesn't have the info in their catalog either.

I believe I read somewhere 145cm?, but check with a place like RC Engineering for a good place to get them cleaned and balanced.

If your local store doesn't even know what the flow rate should be, I would probably look elsewheremto have them serviced.

Jerry

Well, I did call RC Engineering and they told me that they do not have the information.

I called a few different Honda dealers in case one of them had access to info another didn't (different states even)

Also sent a message to Denso asking for info on the model number that is on the side of the injectors. Don't really expect a response from them.

Very surprising about RC Engineering, maybe they just didn't want to be bothered? They are well regarded.

Give a try to LHT in Tampa, Florida. Those are the guys that build the k-sight (stuff a VTEC motor into an insight) as well as do turbo gen 1 insights (they to to bigger injectors, but may know the stock size)! If not, they may have a shop that knows the insight and can do your cleaning and balancing.

If you can get the part number, you might be able to get a cross reference and size them that way.

Regards,
Jerry

EDIT: Here you go, look at post #3:

Fix for that bad MPG and rough stutter at 1800 rpm.

Here's what I found out using the Denso Part number

PN 195500-3840

~140cc/min tested at 43.5 psi @ 3 bar

RC Engineering was able to look up the info based on the make/model of the injector.
