Default What torque for installation of sub-modules?

What does Honda say about the torque to be used for bolting sub-modules into the battery? Any official advice?

Or what do you use for your Insight batteries?

I have not been able to get an answer from the Prius NHW10 crowd.

Initially I used 10Nm, but the occasional sub-module felt as if I was going to strip the thread, so I reduced it to 8Nm.

Any experience to be shared?

Thanks in advance!

Nothing quantifiable i'm afraid. When you first strip down a pack they are pretty tight.

I give them a very unscientific couple of tweaks or puffs based on 48 years of tightening things up.

If some one has some duff ends/cells they could test say 10 to destruction whilst measuring torque then we can average the sample and reduce that by say 50% and use that figure.

Just be careful as I have twisted off a bolt once. Luckily I was able to easily remove the twisted piece after removing the jumper board.

I used 8Nm again, no troubles with it for 160 bolts so far. It might be slightly too high or too low, but it feels about right to me. So I'll stick with 8Nm for now.

Thanks for you replies, everyone!
