I installed the Insights PPF this weekend. I like the look, or actually the lack of look from the PPF. Most people never know its there until they get real close and I point it out. I have put this on several of my own vehicles ( including motorcycles ) and it holds up for many years and doesnt yellow. I did PPF installs professionally for a few years. If you havent done this before and want to, Id recommend getting a few quotes to have it professionally installed first. $400-$500 would be what I would charge, if I still did this kind of work, and the quote should include all materials.
I spent 7.5 hours installing the hood, headlights, mirrors, sills, bumper and fender fronts. Im a little out of practice, and I got "hung up" in a few areas and was able to recover and make it look great. Chances are, if you have never done this before and got "hung up" you would not be able to salvage the material and could waste $100-200 worth of material in about 1 minute.
The right installer can make PPF look just like the paint. A bad installer will blame the material and 3M.
I tried to get some pics, but you cant really see the material on silver paint.
