Added these to my 04 Gen 1. Lights are Hella FF50s. They brighten up the face of the car a bit (as well as put down some decent light). Will use them as DRLs. Still need to cut, sculpt, and replace the grille. Tell me what you think.

I used the provided schematic (see below). Wired the relay inside the cabin to the left of the clutch and ran the wiring up to the one of the three blank switches to on the left side of the dash. It was pretty straight forwarded. The light on the switch however is too bright so I'll have to find another switch.

I'm cutting the grille to match the curvature of the lights (basically cutting off the ends of the grille and shaping them to the elliptical form of the inboard side of the lights).

I wired them to be on with the parking lights.

Nice fog lights, and you should consider adding HID for the fog lights....
