Default ECO Bright Bulbs

Anyone try these headlight bulbs yet?

Made by Sylvania and claiming to save fuel. (Of course I have yet to notice.)

They do have a nice bright spectrum and they cost about the same as other bulbs of this brightness. (see pics)

Sylvania EcoBright Bulbs - Good Idea? Buy One Get One Free Today Only - 4/23 .

I'm not going to call them a "scam", but I will say the benefits are small and the technology is far from miraculous. Much ado about nothing.

Until they can make a drop in led replacement Id consider 35 watt or small hid for power savings and equal light if not more.

When someone comes up with a H4/H3/H2/H1 drop in led replacement that doesn't render the lights dazzling or ruin beam patterns they will make a packet!!

Heat is the problem bizzarely with the led's at present. technology marches on give it another 5 years we are nearly there.
