Default External Temp Gauge

Is there any way to get an external temp gauge with this car? Would be nice if scangauge had a function like that, but I would be willing to go any route. Would like to see what the conditions are like outsdide. Did a quick search and did not come up with anything.

Battery powered indoor outdoor thermometer?
For Car Thermometer: Price Finder - Calibex
I have used one from Wallmart (auto department) that is about $8, to measure the HV batterys internal temperature, but the outdoor probe could easily be placed in front of the radiator to measure outdoor temps.

That could work as well. Was hoping for an option that would let you measure off sensors that already exist in the car. Sounds like this may not be as possible. Will have to look into the other option with a small sensor.

BTW - I used your idea on the grill bock and it works great. Although mine is not perfect since I did it free hand.

Be wary with wireless thermometer. I bought a wireless thermometer and used it in the car and it worked fine but the signal would drop with any IMA activity, couldn't start the car, go into autostop, go out of autostop, assist, or charge without having to pull the battery from the base unit every time. I returned it, it was a Weather Channel something or other that was rated for hundreds of feet but wouldn't go through my garage wall 5 feet away for when I was heating the car using the grid and wanted to know the temperature the car was at.
