It would be helpful if there were some way to identify which Insight was the subject of the message before we read the message. Sometimes even after reading all the way through, there is no clue about which Insight is involved.
Is it possible to add check-off boxes before the TITLE box or included as a subdivision of the title box listing the subject car model? If these boxes were prominent at the top it would be more likely that the correspondents would check one off before starting to write the message.

it might be helpful, But the site is already divided in two sections. For gen1 owners discussions and gen2 owners. And since I am usually only interested in reading threads related to the gen1 insight, I just stay in the gen1 section.
But if someone posts in the wrong section, then that's another issue.

This is the only forum I'm subscribed to where I can't use the "new posts" button. I wish there were a "new posts but only in the five Gen 1 subforums" search button.

Please help me. When I look at the "Active Topics" display, I see no way for me to determine which Gen Insight is involved. Am I missing something?
Same problem here. I look at "new posts". I have to look to the right to see if I can tell there, then hover the curser over the topic to see if I can tell there, then click. I've wondered if there is a better way.

I see now what you are talking about when we go to "active topics" page. I never really go there, but you are right, there should be something to show which gen the topic is for. But I guess only an admin could change this.

I usually use the active topics but lately with the increase in owners of the 2nd gen that section fills up completely in the span that I'm either at work or sleeping or sometimes even in the span of 3 or 4 hours. I used to read everything that was posted on this site including the 2nd gen forum but have noticed the topics becoming the same in that forum as new owners come in asking the same question or discuss their lease/purchase prices.
So now I click on forum and look for everything newer than the last time I visited and bring up each subforum except for the 2nd gen section and bring up all threads from those that are new and go through them. Usually I find something interested in the other sections when it is posted but there is too much to read here if I include 2nd gen stuff.

Would it be possible to add or change three of the ICONS that already exist so that they would represent GEN I, GEN II, BOTH and then require thread originators to use the specific icon to identify the subject model in the topic title? Just as the question mark icon appears at the head of this thread title, the subject car icon would appear and simplify reader's selection. It would be preferable to use a different color for each car. Color change alone of the ICON may or may not be enough. This icon modification seems like a minor change and it could solve a problem that will become more and more of an issue as we go forward.
I also use Active Topics and am frequently frustrated at all of the I2 posts. I would do it differently if this site wasn't SO SLOW to load pages, but this is the fastest way to do a quick check on what is going on. It would help if people would fill out their profiles, but I know this is a lost cause.
If Honda had named the I2 something else we wouldn't have this problem!
