Default Mcm issues

I am looking for a used mcm[motor control module] it goes on top of the ima battery pack for a 2000 or 01 insight with a manual trans i shorted it out on one of my insights. If some one bought a used battery pack it may have come with it.

It is a code p1581 ran through test and says it is the mcm. My son was helping me swap out the ima battery and we did not wait long enough for the capictors to discharge and touched the main wires together and there was a loud snap and spark no one was hurt thank goodness.

I doubt the top wires touching did anything to the MCM.

P1581 is MPI Module Current Sensor Signal Circuit.

Yes it will. I've been using a CVT MCM(and BCM) in one of my manual transmission cars for months. They don't appear to be any different, even behavior wise, as far as I can tell.
