I think we agree that operating a battery continiously at 45C is clearly not good.

However the average battery temp is going to be a lot lower, with occasional excursions to hotter temps on very hot days.

I doubt very much if my average battery temp over the course of a year is even as high as 25C.

A long term temp 24/7 data logger might be of interest i might knock one up and leave it in the battery for a few months. A sample rate of once an hour should provide enough data.

Hi Randall,
What program do we need to view the file?
I am assuming you are referring to this file?

Hi Mike.

The model was done in Solid Edge.

You should be able to view it with any 3D modeling software.

I sent Rush a copy early on, and he could view it but not edit/change with Solid Works, I believe is what he told me

Don't have either, will see what I can dig up for a viewer.
Can you export a PDF with the 3 views?

My SolidWorks is on my other computer which is not hooked up, so I downloaded the Solid Edge Viewer in the link above.

When the Solid Edge viewer is installed it previews the batterycase.par file, but when you go to open it, it will not open. Drag...

Will have to hook up other computer and run Solidworks, but I don't think that it will save as a pdf since it is a 3D file.

Will try some experiments to see if I can get it in a form that is available to all.
