Hey Folks.
SOunds like for snow use, rear wheel spacers would be a good thing. I understand that 25mm is about the most we can get in without fouling the skirts. I need to get some ordered ASAP, so I just wanted to ask the following questions:
1) Is my understanding correct? Is 25 mm the right way to go? Any other thoughts on this?
2) Which spacers should I buy? I want to get pieces of good quality, and I don't mind paying extra for it.
Thanks!

Wheels spacers are usually a bad idea in my mind but what will you use them for? Just to widen the rear track for stability in the snow?
Personally I will be running a bigger offset from the stock wheels when I experiment with some llightweight aftermarket wheels, plus they are 15x6.5. Hopefully I will put them on this weekend and take them for a 1000 mile drive to test them out.
I still would like to see pics if you do purchase some spacers.

Yes, just for widening the back track for snow stability. I know someone here went as far as 32 mm, but some mods were needed for that. That extra 5 cm closes the gap by almost 2.5 inches in rear track. I'd like to have it the same front and back, but that should help.

I bought a pair of 25mm spacers early this year due to a 180 degree spin-out during the last snow of the season. The spin was something that I feel was induced by the differential wheel spacing. I've driven many cars in the snow over the years with only summer tires, and never experienced a spin as easy as I had last winter.
I just put the spacers on the car last weekend. They are the same model that is discussed in the link above. Note that when you go to their website, the Honda Insight is NOT listed, and you will have to select those for a Honda Fit or similar.

Jim.
That is what I am trying to cure. Were you using snow tires? Lots of deep, wet snow that day? What tires?
What are your thoughts, so far?

Also planning on a winter driving course with my car in January. Really get a feel for what it will do in the snow and slush.
Consider removing your under engine shields for the snowy season.
