Anybody Had Any Joy Painting Mirror Mounts?

One of the few critisisms of my latest arrival (Black car) is that the wing mirror base plates (the satin Black plastic parts) are looking a little dull.

Has anybody had any joy painting these parts? I tried on a spare one I had & paint I use (normal rattle can stain black) reacted even when used over a proper plastic primer.

Try duplicolor trim paint? I had great success with it on the wiper arms of my old 1986 MR2.

Have had sucess with the wiper arms on the Blue car, but the same paint used on the mirror mounts causes a reaction.

May just have to sand the whole thing down to the base and start with primer then respray. It's small enogh.

Have you posted pics of your new car yet? I can't wat to see it!

Not since I've owned it, I will post pics of the pair ar the weekend after they have been washed.

That looks so great in the rare color!

Is that a JDM model? Or did they come in Black in the UK also? Are those red seat covers, or factory upholstery?
