Default ?Are CV axle for auto and manual the same?

Hello Everyone

The reason I am asking is because I want to buy a CV axle and the guy who is selling it claims that the insight manual says the CV axles are the same. Any opinion on that?

Thank you

looking at the parts diagram, it seems the passenger side is the same between MT and CVT, but the driver side is different.

Looking at the Honda part numbers the right ones are the same, but the left drive shafts have slightly different part numbers. Not sure what the difference is? I wasn't sure what year your car is so I just used 2002 but I think they should all be the same.

Edit: yep, what he said. Nothing like posting something and when it refreshes someone else beat you to it by a few minutes. lol

it seems the drivers side might be the same also, because when looking at aftermarket drive shafts (at autozone & oreilly), They list the same ones for use in CVT or MT.
