Default To Tint or Not To Tint?

I am going to tint my my 2003 honda insight Monte Carlo Blue...
More than likely I will be going with a 5 on every wondow except the front.... But I was looking at a blue tint, and was wondering if anyone has seen a monte carlo insight with blue tint? Which would everyone think looks better?

Hello Arsenic (or MacPirat3),

This is written as a moderator.

I am sure that you already know that the way window tinting is rated, is in "% of transmitted light".

Therefore you wrote that you wanted to put tinting that would allow only 5% of the light to go through your windows (except the windshield but it does not make a difference).

This could be easily illegal and for sure Very dangerous.

Could this be considered to be trolling from your part.

Note: I have moved this issue into the Modifications forum.

yes i know, I was typing fast and forgot the percentage sign. Yes it is illigal only on the front windows, I know. I have had illegal tint on every car I have owned so it's no big deal.

(off topic content deleted by moderator)

But I have not seen any insights tinted. I have my imagination. But, I was just wondering if anyone has seen it done, and which looks better. 5% or Mirror tint.
I should have posted it in the modification section. Thank you for changing the post location.

This thread notes that the 2000 Insight brochure (downloadable in main site knowledge base) shows tinted windows:

Search the forums for "tint" and you will find many hits, some of which may also have photos. Happy hunting...
